Azimuth controls and input devices

Azimuth reads Xbox controllers that Windows already sees. From 0.9.10 that path uses the Windows gamepad interface and includes impulse triggers. 0.9.10. You do not need a console attached.

The official support list names connected Xbox controllers, not native keyboard driving or DualSense haptics. Community mappers can provide other input paths, but their compatibility and dependencies belong to those projects. The illustrations here do not demonstrate device support.

Keyboard and mouse: a community mapping route

The official feature list does not document native keyboard driving binds. Azimuth Mapper is a separate community mapper; consult its current requirements rather than looking for an official keyboard preset. This site has not tested the mapper or published a universal key layout.

DualSense and wheels: separate support boundaries

The FH2-DualSense README requires USB, an XInput emulator, Windows/Python, game build 1.0.0.64 and a Quadraphonic DualSense speaker setup for its haptics. It targets Azimuth 0.9.x, but this site has not verified every feature on 0.9.10. Its launcher requests administrator rights; review the project before running it. None of this is an official Azimuth toggle.

The 0.10.0 progress note plans experimental wheel support, force feedback, H-pattern shifters and handbrakes. Until that release, FH2 Mod Platform documents the community fh2wheel loader and its DLL interaction. Do not mistake that separate mod for built-in 0.9.10 support.

In 0.9.9, input is read only while the game window is in front. If a pad is detected but ignored, use controller troubleshooting before installing another mapper.

Questions

Do I need an Xbox controller?

The supported path is a connected Xbox controller. Keyboard play depends on community mapping tools, not on a native binding in Azimuth 0.9.10.

Does a wheel work in 0.9.10?

Official built-in wheel support is described for unreleased 0.10.0, not 0.9.10. A separate community project, fh2wheel, is documented by the FH2 Mod Platform README; this site has not tested its compatibility.
