Language and audio in Azimuth
The launcher exposes every text language shipped with Forza Horizon 2, plus an experimental voice language that is chosen on its own. Speaker output is Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, or System. itch.io 0.9.9.
Text and speech are separate choices, with speech marked experimental in 0.9.9. No full per-language list is supplied in the checked official text. A custom-radio import control could not be verified as of 2026-10-24; this page does not invent one.
| Control | Choices |
|---|---|
| Text language | The game's text languages |
| Voice language | Separate, experimental |
| Speakers | Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, System; Stereo became the default in 0.9.9 |
| Video loudness | Corrected in 0.9.10; not documented as a new slider |
| Output-device changes | Playback continues after switching or reconnecting; a 0.9.10 behavior fix |
Version 0.9.7 added the Audio option. In 0.9.9, the Output row shows the actual Stereo/5.1/7.1 layout when following System. Version 0.9.10 corrects video loudness and dialogue ducking, restores sound after output-device changes, and fixes silence followed by a crash on Linux systems using large audio buffers. These are behavior changes, not evidence of new volume or device-selection controls.

For silence or crackling, use audio troubleshooting. The non-48 kHz startup crash was fixed in 0.9.6; it is not a documented current requirement to force every output device to 48 kHz.
Questions
Does the voice language follow the text language?
No. Text covers the game's languages. Voice is a separate experimental option, so the two can differ.
Did 0.9.10 add a video-volume slider?
The devlog describes corrected video loudness and ducking under dialogue, not a new launcher slider. It does not establish a cause or universal fix for a quiet radio mix.
