Infinite loading, black screen, and red glow
Update 0.9.8 addressed a suspected vehicle-loading hang under heavy load; the developer called the diagnosis an educated guess. Update 0.9.9 separately lists a fix for endless race-start loading / "Synchronizing Drivatars". Use 0.9.10 before diagnosing an old-build symptom.
Separate an endless race-start load from a black screen or a shader-preparation screen. These are not one verified defect. The 0.9.7 notes document data/logs/azimuth.log as the place that records what a loading screen is waiting for after 30 seconds; preserve it for a report.
Black screen: no single verified cause
The checked official notes do not establish one cause or guaranteed fix for every black screen. Keep the exact message and data/logs/azimuth.log; include a DMP if a crash produced one. The 0.9.7 logging change may help identify what an endless load is waiting for, but is not itself a black-screen diagnosis.
Red glow and Intel graphics: unconfirmed relationship
The 0.9.10 notes describe a likely fix for red/cyan squares near the sun and glows on Windows Intel graphics, but say the developer had no Intel hardware to confirm it. The official page still does not support Intel integrated graphics. A red-glow symptom is not proven to be the same issue; neither the patch nor a GPU change is a guaranteed fix. The published hardware reference is Steam Deck class, not necessarily a dedicated GPU.

- Update to 0.9.10.
- Confirm era.vbi, Mount/, and EmbeddedXvd/.
- Try a separate clean stock extraction, preserving saves. Removing DLLs from a modified installation may leave broken caches. Official mod PSA.
- Exit with a two-second hold on Esc or View if the session is alive.
- Send the LOG if it still hangs; add the DMP for a crash. This is an automated report mailbox, not an installation-question service. Reporting rules.
Questions
I cannot quit.
Hold View, Back, or Esc for two seconds. That exit was documented in 0.9.9. Alt+F4 is not the documented gesture.
The screen is black and I am on Intel graphics.
Intel integrated graphics are not supported. 0.9.10 mentions red or cyan squares may improve, and the project still says the iGPU is not fully supported.
